Shoalhaven - Bega Valley
The BDA Shoalhaven - Bega Valley Chapter extends 300kms along the beautiful south coast of New South Wales, from Nowra and Berry in the north to Eden in the south. This region, which incorporates remote coastal and pastoral landscapes as well as unspoilt natural bushland east of the Great Dividing Range, attracts and inspires adventurous building design with a focus on renewable materials and energy resources.
The SBV chapter was formed in 1997. We meet bi-monthly at the Narooma Golf Club, with members having the option of dinner prior to the more formal proceedings. Meetings provide members with the opportunity for professional development, both through informal discussions with their colleagues and regular presentations from industry representatives.
During alternative months we conduct a Skype meeting, which allows for interim updates and information sharing from home or office.
BDA members abide by a code of ethics to achieve a professional standard of design, and regular interaction with chapter members ensures currency of industry standards, stimulates creativity and encourages a collaborative approach to building design in the region.
